He actually was subbing on defense in the middle of the second. He did let Powell and Duskey score before putting in all the jv

If you really thought I meant coach was going to play his starters all 4 quarters than you haven’t been around before. What I meant by my unclassy statement was he is not just going stick to base of the playbook although that would get him a win. He’s going to try to create opportunities for his athletes to make big plays. Forgive my classless comments.
Re: Round 2 #8 Shenandoah (7-4) @ #1 Fort Frye (10-1)
Yeah. Typical would be to get as many points as they can the first 2 quarters, then take the air out of the ball the second half.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 4:55 pmHe actually was subbing on defense in the middle of the second. . Of course. Maybe 3 quarters. Then the Class comes in from the CoachFf3233 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 3:30 pmHe will/does give the varsity a half to do as much damage as possible.E High wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 12:07 pmGreat to hear. Coach Huck is one of the best guys I’ve ever met.
Re: Round 2 #8 Shenandoah (7-4) @ #1 Fort Frye (10-1)
3 quarters is optimistic for Shenandoah. They lost by 25 or more to river and union local and neither are close to as good as ff. Wouldn't mind a couple decent games before final 4 but I don't see it happening
Re: Round 2 #8 Shenandoah (7-4) @ #1 Fort Frye (10-1)
Having a competitive game would be ideal considering a potential Final 4 matchup with either Kirtland or Marion Local. I think Fort Frye will be ready to go, but the level of competition goes up exponentially - not having been in a competitive game in weeks could potentially hurt.
Re: Round 2 #8 Shenandoah (7-4) @ #1 Fort Frye (10-1)
Ff know they would be underdogs in each of those games. Not over matched, but definitely tough either way. I think Marion local is on a different level this year. Hopefully we can make it there and have all our pieces in tactbeg003 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:51 pmHaving a competitive game would be ideal considering a potential Final 4 matchup with either Kirtland or Marion Local. The only way to the top of the mountain is through everyone else. FF’s offense is going to be tough for anyone out of the gate, even those two. But I agree, they’d be underdogs for sure.Ff3233 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 10:27 pmFf know they would be underdogs in each of those games. Not over matched, but definitely tough either way. Re: Round 2 #8 Shenandoah (7-4) @ #1 Fort Frye (10-1)
If there was competition close to that level, we'd be talking about their state titles. Kirtland and Marion Local are outliers, and nobody really prepares you. I think Kirtland's biggest advantage is their numbers. Fort Frye has a lot of kids playing both ways, and the depth chart gets thin real fast. That being the case, it's best to show up healthy and rested.beg003 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:51 pmHaving a competitive game would be ideal considering a potential Final 4 matchup with either Kirtland or Marion Local. You have a good point about being healthy and rested. I was coming more from the perspective of having to play 4 full quarters and be somewhat used to it. I saw it at the Linsly game. It was the first time they had to keep the pedal truly down for 4 quarters, and they were totally gassed in the 4th. But I also agree, nothing gets you ready for either of the two teams we’re talking about.efarns wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 6:31 amIf there was competition close to that level, we'd be talking about their state titles. Running clock FF, next week is the game, whoever wins between FF and WJ/CG wins region imo
Re: Round 2 #8 Shenandoah (7-4) @ #1 Fort Frye (10-1)
You have to take I to account that Fort Frye was winning 90% of all the other sports, tooFFHS2013 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 6:36 pm Coach Huck has every right to run up the score. People seem to only see us as a top program in the area right now. Some people seem to forget the early 2000’s when we weren’t competing with anyone in the PVC or any other teams in the area. No one had a problem beating up on FF then and we didn’t run. We took our but whooping’s. Once FF took control of the PVC and started dominating Shenandoah jumped ship. Same could be said about Monroe. Time for FF to return the favor.

Fort Frye plays Shenandoah in every sport but football. 16 teams make the playoffs in my opinion playing Fort every year will only make Shenandoah better. Shenandoah is young and they are on the uptick long as they can keep a coach.

Game day at the Fort. Lots of good seating, and lots of room for lawn chairs and blankets that look down onto the field
for a great view of the entire field. Also, there are Two concession stands, home and visitor sides of field.
Plenty of good level parking right behind stadium.

Last time the 12 Srs will ever take the field in Beverly. I told the boys to just enjoy tonight.

I believe the current coach will also be the Coach next year.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 11:49 am Fort Frye plays Shenandoah in every sport but football. 16 teams make the playoffs in my opinion playing Fort every year will only make Shenandoah better.
