River Valley Job
Re: River Valley Job
Heard some coaches from Jackson jr high and lower levels also were putting in for the job.. maybe the best way to go, a new voice that would have some respect being from a solid program.
Re: River Valley Job
Said it before and I'll say it again, they need to coach basics and fundamentals from biddy league up. Coaches want to need to be there, not begged to do it just to have a team. They also need to give kids playing time when the score is high, everyone knows practice and game time are 2 totally different things, and they can't learn everything from the bench. There are lots of things fans/parents see and have seen for years, not just in football but other sports, that coaches won't change but need to change if RV wants to compete in sports. No, I do not want the job, just giving my opinion on things I've observed as a parent of student athletes of multiple sports over multiple years and many different coaches.

Word on the street is that RV is employing the strategy once used by VC and Wellston. Which is to hire a coach with a catchy name and who can get kids to run through brick walls. So we can expect someone with a name like Dutch, or Jesty or Tick, Crazy Carl. That worked so well at the other two places that RV decided to try it. Truthfully, could they possibly do any worse than they have recently?
Disclaimer: This is all an opinion and I am therefore hoping we can still express opinions on this site without retort.
