... dissing Combs ???!!!! "what u talkin bout Willis???!!!" LOL ... Coach Combs is one of a group of excellent basketball head men Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line ... one the gauges I use in determining a coaches "worth" is taking a look at the "overall program" top to bottom , I ask "what do the players come to the varsity level with (fundamental wise)?" , and finally I look at the teams year to year consistency - there are lots of teams that have "one of those seasons" ... everything goes right - the right athletes etc. for the most part the coaching had nothing to do with it - hell many many coaches keep waiting for all of those stars & planets to align so THEY can "coach a winner" ... instead of building a program that develops players to be the best they can be , to blend into the best TEAM that they can be - imo Coach Combs does that/has that at VC - a program ... sure they DO have the athletes that make VC as good as they are BUT Coach Combs has a system that makes the better players even better, that makes the good player better, that makes everyone a contributor to TEAM ... TEAM success ... even though I know the "dissing" was in fun , Coach Combs AND his staff from varsity down to biddy ball feeder team coaches (yes in my mind it starts there in the best of systems) have developed a "system" that works year after year ... ALL of that go into making a head coach a successful HEAD COACH ...

Yes, I spend a lot of time in the gymnasium. However, my New Year resolution is to actually do something in the gym.

CJ, Coach Combs does not need your help and besides I thought you were predicting doom and gloom since your departure from the program. I am glad that you had a change of heart. :-D
