Ironton....49 to 0...

I don't believe there is any team in the region that gives Ironton a game...I would have said Amanda would have been within two touchdowns...but that was before their Big Back was out...now...I say Ironton is a lock for the Semi-finals...barring a turnover ridden game...

i told ya'll this bunch was special, but before we start polishin regional hardware. we gotta get by the fighting scots first. handle the rock, and execute like we've been doing since the ashland game, and we are gonna be an extremely hard out. but first at hand is sparta highland. :-D

Good luck Tigers from this Pirates fan.

Be nice to have at least one representative at Canton this year. I think that Itown probably has the best shot.

Burg will have to get by Monroe central and then probably Fredericktown(which will probably be at Lancaster) and then maybe Minford just to get out of the region.

I like this one better! Reminds me of the scene in Patton where the British 8th marches into Messina only to find Patton already there! Yea, baby! Go Tigers!

Of those of you predicting that Ironton "should win this" or "at least win that", how many of you have even seen any of the other teams in this region play this year?

I am an Ironton fan by the way, just wondering what you're basing your conclusions on:)

I think Ironton wins this bya comfortable margin...I see them winning the region and possibly playing for the State, they are the real deal this year

I watched amanda play this past friday...from what I saw before the big running back got hurt was Ironton would have been a two touchdown at least favorite in my book...After he was hurt..and out for the year..I would give Ironton at least 21...Ironton is on a different level than them this season...The line is just that good..I really don't believe there is anyone in our region that is on their level...

Once we get out of our region...I know there are some good teams...Genoa Area..is one of them that scares me...look back at what they did last year on Joe Eitel...and of course Kettering Alter...I believe if Ironton would play either one of them that it would be a real battle...but looking at the stats..I would rather face Alter...I just hope that we get someone from Martins Ferry's Region in the Semi's...At least then we would only have to face one of them...

However...as Bait says...Let's get past the boys in skirts first...that is what we have to do this week....I believe Ironton wins by as many as they want this week...however...they have won a lot of games no matter how bad their competition was...you never know...in high school football....

Lets just take it one game at a time. I remember all to well its just ashland and people looking ahed to Logan and you know what happened those two games. Lets just hope for mistake free ball and at the end of the night I think we will be just fine. Also good luck to all area teams.

Anything can happen on any given night...

I remember Curt Clifford and Portsmouth playing in the Semi-finals back when they had Jo Jo Parker and Micheal Hamerick...they were two out of the three best backs in the state...they also had Jo Jo's little brother I believe at Tight end maybe cousin...and a nice line...they got to the final drive with a couple of minutes left and they had only completed one pass all night...and that was a ball that deflected off the other team's players helmet...

They got down just inside the ten by running the ball 1st and goal....Clifford had the QB throw the ball four straight times for incompletions..while those two great backs watched it all happen...they lost the game...don't remember the score..but the touchdown would have either tied the game or won it for portsmouth...

I don't believe Lutz will make that poor of a decision..however..I have seen it done...many of times...that one just seems to be one that sticks out in my mind...

I think naturally, we all peek to the future of the playoff scenario. We know Genoa and Alter are Huge challenges, and we would love nothing better than to make it to the finals and face one of those horses then, BUT we Must play one game at a time. The emphasis for the players must be just that ONLY. Continue doing what you have been doing since the two losses, and hope for mistake and injury free ball.
Everything is laid out there for this team to grab and advance if they follow this scenario... on a horrendously embarrassing sidenote. I actually voted for sparta in this darn poll. I checked their box dot by mistake... EEEEEEKKKKK!!!so subtract one...haha.. gotigersgo!!!and always, For my Dad, Jack Hickman, in a far better place... get the ball, get the ball, get the ball, get the ball, get the ball...
I'm gonna have to say tigers roll, and hopefully get some passing experience with a comfortable lead before putting in the back ups... Not arrogant. Just realistic. I also agree with the fact this team has advanced into the post season for several years in a row, to not so good results, so they are not just gonna roll over. They are gonna be pumped. Especially when the excitement of the tank rattles their locker room...
