Saw on SVCSportszone that Paint Valley beat Manchester last night. I called this one a few weeks ago. Looked like the Guard tandem of Whitney Hollon and Abbi Walls really played outstanding. Hollon scored 26 and had 18 boards and Walls scored 22.

Clay won that game because of their will. That coach is horrible ! I see alot of favortism on that team. It's a shame to they have alot of good young talent and could be a very good team next year, if not this year, if they had a coach.

If you're going to throw out accusations of favoritism like that, let us all in on how you came to that conclusion. Coach Castle starts and plays his best five girls. I don't believe he focuses enough on conditioning prior to the season, but he is a good x's and o's coach. It's up to the girls to execute and know where they're supposed to be. And it's up to the girls to take care of the basketball, box out, rebound, and not force bad shots and passes. Castle's team, who finished 11-3 in the SOCI, lost 4 very close games and could easily be sitting at 17-4 or 18-3 overall right now. For a team that had only two players returning that had any playing time at all last year, he's done a fine job with the Lady Panthers.

I think that Clay has done a lot better than anyone expected this year and that has to have something to do with the coach. I do wonder why two years in a row, the better senior girls are not playing. They should have won the SOC the past two years if their senior girls stayed with the program.

Clay won the game against Eastern Pike but I'll be honest, it was UGLY. By far the worst game Bauer had all season. Hopefully she can put it behind her. Clay will need career games from Bauer, Hemphill, Spriggs, and Beegan to be competitive against Waterford.
