Have to agree, Dusty Baker is a horrible manager. Take the playoffs last year. No way in Hades that Latos should have pitched game 5. He was too young and had no big game experience like that. Sure, he pitched in game 1 but threw what, 4 innings???? He should have started game 4, which wasn't as much pressure and then let Arroyo start game 5. Veteran pitcher who wouldn't have choked like Latos did. Latos was basically throwing up BP balls and it was evident he was nervous.


On a side note, just got on the Reds website and saw where they picked up Mark Prior. Said he pitched a few innins and was consistently hitting 90-91 on the gun. If he contiues to pitch well, where does he fit into the rotation?

Reds will be fine. It's freakin' spring training. Meaningless games. A lot of players have said they hate spring training because it puts some of them playing over 180 games in a season.


They made the right move by leaving Chapman at closer. Broxton will be a nice setup man. It will be like the days of the nasty boys.
