Wow what a game. Myles and Kayser best basketball players on that court! Lutherans role players hit one too many threes was the difference!

Great season, Minford! A positive bounce here or there, perhaps things would have resulted in different outcome. No reason for head hanging!

— Falcons played hard and gave Lutheran East everything they wanted.
Well said. Nothing to hang their heads about. Great seaons and best in school history!

From this point on, you have to pay $9.99 to watch via streaming, through OHSAA.TV, or Spectrum News 1 App.
I've been watching games all weekend on Spectrum for free.

I re-watched that goal-tending call three times and I have no idea why it was called. Did anyone else who was at the game hear an explanation? The TV announcer couldn't explain it, that's for sure.

Minford had their chances late, on the missed box out and the rushed shots, but I will say that it was too bad that the brights got too bright for some from the Southeast tonight and I’m not talking about Minford.

You can say that again. Moment must of been too big.

Could you be enticed to expand on this?

The atrocious goaltending call was talked about and may not have been the biggest missed goaltending call of the game. One in the first quarter led to a 5 point swing. The crew was a SE crew and 2/3 did not have a quality call.

Like I said, Minford had their chances if they made a couple more plays, but a better crew and it is likely a different game…one way or another.

What a season!

This one will sting, mainly because on this afternoon Minford was good enough to win but just didn’t make enough plays.

Hard off to this team and all they’ve accomplished.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of the makeup of the officials. I listened to most of the game on radio.

No problem. I’ve seen much worse performances from crews this season and postseason, but to me it just stood out in a game of that magnitude.

It was still the best game I saw this season, only a combined 17 turnovers between the teams and the outside shooting was on another level. It’s a game that the Minford kids should always hold their heads high about. It’ll likely be the 4th time that Minford was eliminated by the state champions in the 5 tournament playing sports for the school so far this school year.

Coming from a guy whose team is sitting at home. Just because you don’t like someone on that crew.

Still, would somebody try to explain the goal-tending call. Only thing I can come up with is they don’t know the rule and think the backboard matters. What else could it be?

I was asked who the officials were and couldn’t correctly say the names…usually you have to know who someone is to not like them.

Both plays at the backboard were identical, blocks from behind that were hammered off the backboard by the defense. One was called and one wasn’t. The one that was called was with 2 minutes left and was by the official at mid court after Minford had gathered it at the FT line.

Nothing was ever even signaled besides to count the basket, that’s why the radio or TV couldn’t explain it.

The ECO center was really nice and had plenty of seating. The atmosphere felt right. BUT! Still shouldn’t host a final four game ever again. Being on the Ohio/WV border made it extremely hard to watch any other games and took an entire day to get there and back. Felt like the crew handling the facility was a bit sloppy, didn’t have the correct name for Minford (called them the Eagles), concession lines took 20 plus minutes to get through, and it was 100 degrees inside.
