I heard a rumor. I heard Ironton may actually be over .500 next year. Afterall they are 11-11 in their last 22 games.

That is good to hear NY has always been a good football school but I don't think they will be able to play with Ironton year in and year out.

I just noticed on the OHSAA website that Ironton is no longer listed as an open date for week two next year. Anyone know who they might be playing?

Great to hear for both schools. This may be a nice matchup. Should be a nice game for computer points for either school. I will definatly be heading up to see this one. I have heard many nice things about the field at NY and look forward to seeing it. NY has a nice program. Good job by both schools AD's for getting this scheduled. I love getting to see facilities and schools I don't normally get to see through the year. Best of luck to both teams and again look forward to seeing this game. Thanks for the info.

I thought this was funny. I was talking to a guy originally from Logan, nice guy by the way, but we were talking football, He said he allways figured Ironton had allways been so good( except last couple years) because 'all the boys grow up working the mines' lol. living in chillicothe area for a long time, it allways amazes me what people know, (or don't know) about the tri-state. So many of my chillicothe friends think Ironton is "out in the middle of nowhere and nothing to do and so on. Even tho I've allways thought chillicothe was a great little town, they (my friends)have no concept of how ironton is part of a larger metro area, whereas nearly all the rest of the towns in southern ohio are are not. But the mining thing really floored me. funny.
