Look for a battle between Warren's Wolfe and Marietta'a Wheeler. These two have established themselves as the top 2 running backs in the SEOAL and should impress tomorrow night.
Wheeler - 162 yards/game, 6.0 yards/carry rushing
Wolfe - 125 yards/game, 6.6 yards/carry rushing
Warren:
Points Scored: 43/game
Points Allowed: 9/game

The Times once again appears inadequate. Through hours of research time going through old archives, news clippings, etc., Marietta and Warren have played continuously since 1984 with 25 meetings. The series is very even with Warren holding a slight edge. I have the all-time series at Warren 13 - Marietta 12
All-Time Series
2008 26 Marietta 21
2007 40 Marietta 7
2006 21 Marietta 0
2005 35 Marietta 12
2004 35 Marietta 14
2003 44 Marietta 42
2002 56 Marietta 20
2001 13 Warren 21
2000 0 Warren 34
1999 7 Warren 14
1998 10 Warren 27
1997 0 Warren 49
1996 7 Warren 42
1995 19 Warren 43
1994 7 Warren 29
1993 3 Warren 14
1992 20 Warren 21
1991 17 Marietta 6
1990 14 Marietta 6
1989 21 Marietta 17
1988 0 Warren 6
1987 17 Marietta 13
1986 7 Warren 35
1985 21 Marietta 14
1984 3 Warren 15
This information was printed in the press packet I put out in the press box last season that times got a copy of.
No excuse for the mistake Times.

Good one Tiger Bait, I have been at Marietta as a player since 1988 and and as a coach since 1994.

Warren Atheltic Boosters are selling official white-out tshirts...they'll be able to be used for any big event for years to come. It's a whole crowd kinda thing....I think that they have sold about 2,500 shirts so far
Warrior Whiteout!
As for da game.......
Its not like I can pick against Big Blue.
Warren 27, Marietta 20

Re: WK4 Marietta @ Warren SEOAL Game
After seeing what the times printed, I went back and checked Warren history.
i have exactly what you have. Warren 13 Marietta 12.
However, I do have records from the 1960's where Warren was in its first years as a program and played the Marietta JV squad as a regular season foe.
I doubt you count those on your all time record, but because it was on Warren's schedule, we have to count it. That being said
1960 Warren vs. Marietta JV (MHS 44-6)
1961 Warren vs. Marietta JV (MHS 14-6)
With those two contests, it gives Marietta the edge 14-13 all time. Take from it what you will.

I would have to agree that it could not be counted on our record. That is interesting that both school recorded history of the all-time series would be different, and both be correct.
9:30 hours til the excitement begins!!! Can't wait.

BLUE 31
WHITE 7
Big plays being the difference...
Look for #1 in blue to score on special teams, receiving, and if the Tigers throw any-where near the middle of the field, defensively as well!!!
Warren will control the ball on the ground and throw when it wants to as opposed to have to... Wheeler will get some, not enough... Warren D-Line does a good job of allowing their 'backers the freedom of flyin to the ball, block-free!
The well-coached Tigers will compete, guaranteed!
Make a play Blue!!!
Go Warriors!
