If the government makes me pay taxes that go to support same sex marriages then they will have violated my Constitutional rights for Freedom of Religion. It either states it in there or it does not.
Religion is a public matter. It always has been until the last 50 years when our country suddenly turning upside down with ACLU type of actions against every public institution.

As the Constitution applies to this case: 14th Amendment-
Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

Did the Constitution change?...NO.........religion is , was and always will be a private matter......And the Government is not telling you have to stop doing something to practice your religion, but do not presuppose you have the right to tell people they can NOT marry based on YOUR religious beliefs..........That is simply the height of pomposity...........Nowhere is God mentioned in the Constitution.......It even says specifically , " but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States" . ........God was put into the pledge in '54, during the red scare........And even saying the pledge is voluntary everywhere..........Marriage is a right of two people in love..... :12224

Two people of the same sex cannot be married to each other. Now quit trying to strip me of my constitutional rights. And for the abuck, I pointed out that civil unions would achieve everything they desire, why are they not satisfied?

What is a marriage ceremony? Is it out it is an outward sign of an inward occurrence. When two are married, God joins them as one. It is a mystery granted but it is what it is. God would not join a man and a man or a woman and a woman with each other into a marriage.

And yes,you are trying to strip me of my constitutional right. My Bible, the Word of God, defines what marriage is. It tells about its beginnings and how God created marriage and why. If it wasn't for the Bible you wouldn't know about marriage and all to start with.
You are trying to take a Christian institution and make it a secular one. There is a secular solution that will solve all problems. That is, a civil union. It is kind of ironic when you consider they don't want baby Jesus in Nativity scene at the school but yet they want to join in a union that Is assuredly Judeo Christian in nature, marriage but will have none of the state's simple solution. Hypocrisy at its best!

Until 1863, the state recognized runaway slaves as property. Was that right? Until 1965, "seperate but equal" was the law in many southern states. Was that right? And as pertains to my marriage, God had nothing to do with it. Laws prohibiting gay marriage will be as quaint as Jim Crow in my lifetime. Just sayin'.
