Re: OSU vs. USC
USC= No Class , especially Carroll. What a dirt... Up 35 to 3 and going on 4th down well within field goal range. Ray Small was right. Bucks looked bad though.

Re: OSU vs. USC
Ohi State's line play is horrendous on both sides of the ball. The achilles heel over the last few losses.

Re: OSU vs. USC
The Bucks played scared all night. If you are going to play your best, Pryor needs to be the man at QB. The national media is very correct about OSU. They are also very correct about the Big Ten. I hate to say it, but the Big Ten is probably the 4th best conference in the US.

Pryor should have been in the game starting the 2nd half, thats my opinion.
Ohio State Overrated???

Re: OSU vs. USC
Usc went for it because no chance to block a fg since d was stopping osu. This was a beating. Nice game and no call or play or player would of changed this result. I'm sorry but I'm playn pryor. He should of started him beg of third qtr and kept him in. Pryor should start. Usc is clearly the better team no way osu can beat usc. This could of been worse. Carroll has class. This was a beating.

Re: OSU vs. USC
Pryor showed nothing either. He ran the ball well in the first half, when USC played off and didn't pressure him.
Once the halftime adjustments came in and USC moved the D-Ends out wider to contain, then blitzed Pryor from the inside, he stopped moving the ball consistently. He still didn't show he has the arm to be a consistent passer, and he showed his youth in the fact that he runs after the first guy is ruled out. This is to be exected, Troy Smith had that same problem, it will work itself out.
Todd showed he isn't as mobile, and needs protection to get off the passes.
The offensive line showed that they are not playing very well at this point in the season, which is the root of all the offenses problems. If the O-Line plays better, then Todd can sit back and pick teams apart. If you go with Pryor, then he can have time to get his second and third reads before he tucks and makes a play with his feet.
The biggest thing that was shown in the game though, is that I know what I'm talking about.
I said all week that the key to the game is not Beanie, or Pryor. The key to the game is getting the defense off the field by making 3rd down stops. USC's offense scored 4 touchdowns. On all 4 touchdown drives there were opportunities for the Buckeyes to line up and go at USC on 3rd down and 5 or more yards to go. Not just one drive, on EVERY TD Drive. Every other drive that USC had, that didn't result in a TD, the Buckeyes made the stop on 3rd down.
You cannot win a football game, when you allow a team to convert 3rd downs. USC made the Buckeyes pay for not executing on 3rd down stops. Plain and simple.
Pryor will get better, as will Todd. Beanie will be back. The Buckeyes will still be the favorite to win the Big Ten and play in a BCS bowl. They must get better O-Line play, and they have to execute on 3rd down on defense though. If they don't Wisconsin, Penn St, Illinois, and possibly MSU will all pose threats to the Bucks.
I encourage all the Buckeye fans on here to keep your heads up, and be more proud to be a Buckeye tomorrow than what you were today or yesterday. I don't know how often I'll be posting over the next week, as I'll be in Hawaii starting Monday. I'll be back though, and so will the Buckeyes.
GO BUCKS!!!

that was pretty much pathetic....play calling was horrible boeckman was horrible...you run an option with boechman when its 2nd and 22....they wont win the big ten i can see them losing to wisconsin and maybe someone else
tressel is to conservative in big games he doesnt take shots and pryor should have started this game even if he is a freshman he went to ohio state because they play in big games if ohio state goes to a bcs bowl and they lose tressel needs to be fired he is 0-3 against the top tier teams florida, lsu, usc and thats because the big ten is overrated and so is ohio state and yea pryor did show something he showed even a freshman can play in a hostile crowd like usc he did better than todd did i would rather have 7/9 than 14/21 and two interceptions especially one take back for a touchdown

Re: OSU vs. USC
This embarrassing beatdown should shut up every OSU blowhard and every college football pundit from coast-to-coast.
OSU should be happy to win the Big Ten and end up in the top 10, at the end of the season. What an absolutely pathetic showing for the state of Ohio, and the Big Ten.
Tressel needs to throw his sweater vest away, and get back to the nitty gritty.
Outplayed and outcoached, all the way tonight, period.
That being said, we don't have the problems that Michigan has!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless we lose to them at the end of the season...............

You must be a Mich fan, put the Koolaid up. Tressel is not going anywhere. We cant win them all but 11, or 12 a year is fine by me.

Nice to see all the haters show up after the loss, easy to talk when you know the outcome.
Who9dey, smack from you means very little, considering your about as fickle a fan as they come. Bengal for life last 2 years, now it's the Steelers.

you just hit the nail on the head.
i just might be done watching OSU for the rest of this season, if Tress get's his head out of you know where and plays Pryor i might consider watching again. but as long as Boeckman continues to get this kind of playing time, i'm done, i hate Todd Boeckman as the QB. whenever Pryor was in something good happened, he looked good tonight and i hate that he didnt get more time and a better chance to keep us in the game.
i also have been questioning my faith in the sweater-vest. yes, he beats michigan but who has michigan been these past few years? they got routed in the rose bowl and beat an overrated florida team, congratulations Tress, you beat UM but you still got blew out every time it mattered most. my friends and i were joking around during the game that we think Tress is just getting tired of Columbus and is just trying to loose his job because he certainly doesnt look like a National Championship winning coach. if i didnt know better and you told me that man had multiple national championship rings, i'd laugh in your face. If OSU has a decent opponent in a bowl game and they lose, i'd love nothing more than OSU telling Tress to pack his bags, he's about this close to wearing out his welcome IMO.
i'm not trying to say the rest of the team looked great. the defense was very lackluster, forcing only one turnover and multiple blown coverages but that offense is just pathetic, especially with Boeckman taking the snaps.
good luck to the buckeyes for the rest of the season but i think i'm done with this one.
Re: OSU vs. USC
I dont hate OSU but i think they have a easy schedule alot....fickle or not the steelers or bengals have nothing to do with that beating. do you really thing that schedule is tough...really be honest
