Alexander in the state finals

Alexander makes it past the final four and gets into the championship game. instead of people supporting the girls they are on other forums trying to bring them down. the game will be played sat. to see if they can win it all.

when and where is the final being held?
Was the student body represented well yesterday?
Can anyone think of another time when an Athens county team has been to the state final of a boys or girls sport, just out of curiosity?

the game will be held saturday morning at 11 oclock. as far as im concerned the student section did well. i think it will be even better sat. though. the girls looked really good and they stand a great chance at winning. they still need you support.

Both teams had to be mentally and physically exhausted. If you couldn't find this game entertaining then you dont like volleyball. This is one that there really wasn't really a loser. I felt bad for the Academy because there wasnt very many fans there. I know the long drive had to be a factor. I also heard the students had academic requirements on Thursday night. What crowd that was there was very vocal and supportive. Hats off their fans for making the long trip.

State finals should be more centrally located, but I am sure it has alot to do with money.
PS. Match would have been worth twice the cost, but I don't want to give the state any ideas.

The Champ was a Parochial School.

The powers that be need to do something about this. These Parochial Schools are dominating in all sports.

Runhollerrun- This Alex team is made up of girls from all over SEO. I think the girls did what was best for them in going to Alex. That said stop your bitchin about private schools. Alex has done what they need to do to compete against the private schools and just came up a bit short.
