gahs,

As I posted on another topic, excuse my poor hospitality for not stopping over to the scorers table. No excuse, but I came straight in from work and saw an excellent ending to a JV game. As I posted again elsewhere, it was much more exciting then the varsity game. And you are correct, the 3-ball at the buzzer was correctly waived off.

Good luck to GA as they try and rebound. Tough stretch for the kids, but Coach Osborne did not let them quit.

I was wondering why the big kid (dressed JV and Varsity) only played a few minutes at the end. He is a wide body that looks like he could help on the boards somewhat.

gahs4ever wrote:What can you say? 46-8 at the half, and the second half was played mostly with both benches on the floor. !2 Cavs scored and they had four in double figures led by Ray Chambers (I dont have the stats in front of me).

The JV game was a barn burner filled with surges by both teams before the game went into OT with GAHS winning 62-59, but not before a Cav three from the deep corner that hit nothing but net was correctly ruled after the buzzer.

GA had leads as large as ten in the first half, but every Blue Devil run was answered by Chillicothe until the Cavs were unable to hold onto a four point lead late and the Devils found a way to tie it up and set the stage for the exciting ending.GA is now 9-1 overall and I think 5-1 in the league. I also believe Nick Mitchell led all scorers for the Galliand with 20 points.

The Blue Devils travel to Vincent Friday evening for an SEOAL matchup with the Warren Local Warriors.

Good to meet Gahs4ever and Jottings last night at the game. Good luck to the Blur Devils the rest of the season.

Are you serious?! I know the the Cavaliers are real good but how does a high school boys basketball team only score 8 points for the first half? Are there any basketball players in Gallipolis? They seem to be competitve in everything else.

Chillicothe

It really pains me to say, but I think Zanes only scored 4 points in the 3 qter of the tourney game against Chillicothe last year. Cost them the game, after being up by 8 @ half time!
