On 9/11/08 at South Point, Coal Grove's 8th grade team romped to a 26-0 lead with just over 7 minutes to go in the third quarter, before Mother Nature took over.

Hopefully, the game will get to be made up later in the season.

I c but listen these boys have been playing together since 2nd grade so they all know each other and a few on the team have played several different positions, when you get a team that stays together and plays together for years they learn better and do better because they have confidence in each other and know that their team mates will do what they are suppose to do. Of course like any other team and a few has came and gone but some have came back, not to mention we also have great coaching. So between the boys and the coach thats how they are doing so well. Ty for making a compliment to our boys.

*River Valley with a very solid bruising fullback, as well as a boomer punter

*Coal Grove's Bryan "HANDS" Steele made about the best one-handed catch you will ever see an 8th grader make....50 yard td brought back for penalty on CG, though.

*Tanner "MAGNET" Dutey getting to every loose ball during the game.

*7th Grader Caleb McKnight absolutely destroying an opposing tackler on a 2-point conversion run.

*Levi Wyatt everywhere on defense, as usual

*Great job by the unsung MVP bruisers on both sides of the CG line....you know who you guys are!
