Athens jumped out to a 13-6 lead at the end of 1 quarter and never trailed, pulling off the much needed win. Vinton closed to within 2 points at the end of three, but couldn't get any closer. Elena Lein lead Athens with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Cindy Willis added 11, Whitney Dickens, Raven Cline, and Caty Willis had 8, Adrianna Lein 6, Jamie Sindelar 5, and Gracie Staten 4. Allison Graves had 18 for Vinton County, Chelsey Taborn 12, Tori Dixon 7, Brittany Stewart and Adrienne Saylor 6, and Briana Thompson and Myriah Mace 2.
The Athens JV also won by the score of 32-30 as Anya Miller hit two free throws in the last 30 seconds to pull out a hard earned win to remain undefeated in the TVC Ohio.
