this tri match was at Unioto so there was a home court advantage for the shermans.

Unioto was spot on in the first match against Chiilicothe and controlled both sets.

The first set of the Chillicothe Waverly match could have went either way as it was pretty well a point for point match. I felt Chillicothe played their best set of the day in the second match vs Waverly, even at that it was a competative match.

Unioto controlled the first set against Waverly.
The second set was a different story as Waverly lead most of the match till they reached 20 and then the Shermans found a way to climb back into the match and pull out the victory.

Waverly will be fine they faced two of the better teams they have seen all season today.

Unioto 25 25
Chillicothe 16 17

Unioto 25 25
Waverly 20 22

Waverly 23 16
Chillicothe 25 25

Good tune-up for all three teams going into the tournament. Three very good teams.

Only the scores of the Waverly/Chillicothe games surprise me.

That Chillicothe beat Waverly in two straight games with the 2nd one not being close. Chillicothe is a good team....just seems that once Waverly finally lost a tough match against an excellent South Webster team that they lost all their momentum. Gotta wonder what they are like mentally entering the tournament against a pretty good team that was understated a couple spots.

Getting screwed out of the one seed probably didn't help the mental outlook either.Should it? No,but these are kids and sometimes it does.Waverly deserved it..How often have they been that good in vb? When they have a outstanding year they should be rewarded for it.Not getting a second place consolation prize in a two seed.

Having seen both Warren and Waverly I would have seeded Warren above Waverly. They are a much better team.

Forget about the north/south crap for a moment,I agree, Waverly should be a one seed in either one of the brackets.

I agree with you fighting_falcon. Waverly has improved over the past year but Warren is a quick all around team. I hope Waverly wins but they are going to have to play spot on.
The other thing about the Waverly Chillicothe game is that Chillicothe beat Waverly in scrimmages earlier in the season. I think Chillicothe had been overlooked from many of us; they play in a different league and play many columbus teams. And as with most girl teams, they run hot and cold... But they have talent and alot of power.

I think rating a team on a Saturday Tournament is not wise. Usually those tournaments are not played with the same ferocity as the week-night games.

I don't think that Waverly getting the 2 seed was as bad as Marietta getting the 7 seed behind Gallia and Jackson. That fact made getting the 2 seed MUCH worse. That is also why I think this seeding process was "set-up".

The seeding process is always a "set-up".
