Scioto Valley Conference Defense

Post by warningtrackpower »

Just for fun and good discussion, I put together my top defensive team. Caleb Southworth is my POY...here is the rest.

Good choices. Hard to argue with any listed. It is good to see defense get rewarded even if it is unofficial. IIt seems to me there are a lot of all league players this year who don't play a lick of "D". Interestingly enough, none of the leagues 1000 pt men this year were made mention.

Every team has scorers, these are the guys who make the difference in tough games.

Cursor, to funny! lol Your observations are right on, Southworth is the energizer bunny on both ends with a 6'5" frame, athletic and as quick as NEARLY everyone in the league. Dont get your panties in a bunch fellas, I am not saying he can keep up with everyone, but most he can. He slowed down Roll!

I would have to say that either Gibson or Haynes would be my POY'S. Gibson is the quickess and has the fastest hands in the league. Their were team's that wouldn't even bring up the ball on him. He also has more steals then anyone and proby would have even more if the team's would bring the ball up on him. Haynes is one of the best off the ball defense players in the league. He always keep's the ball in front of him. He can also put pressure on you at anytime.
