i doubt that any of the kids went in to the game thinking they were going to lose....however, they were certainly outmatched.

i commend Piketon on a great season!

More discipline and team ball could of made a difference. I don't know if Piketon could of won or not though. North Adams would of been a better matchup for CCC. Congrats piketon a great season.

No offense to NA, but they would have been destroyed as well.

I swear I seen Piketon beat North Adams 74-72 thanks to late foul trouble, missed free throws, and several late 3's by Unger....if it wasnt for that probably a 10-15 point win!

Piketon just had a bad start, they cut the lead to 10 late in the 3rd qt. A couple of calls could've turned the game around in the 4th. With the score 50-40 Vulgamore took a charge, but it called a block, CCC hits the free throws, its 52-40, then Brabson drives to the basket CCC takes the charge looks like a block, CCC goes down hits 3...55-40, Piketon could not recover from that sequence. If the calls went the other way "who knows"...great season...nobody believed they should've been state ranked all season...but they prove everyone wrong! I think CCC would've spanked NA as well.....but "would've, could've, should've" Piketon proved they were the best team in the south in Div.III and the SVC proved it was the power conference. End of Story!

CCC was just too much. I commend Piketon for coming out in the second half and laying it all out, but Piketon played 7 maybe 8 players and CCC just kept sending fresh player after fresh player. If they played this game 10 times, IMO Piketon might win 1 or 2.

As far as should they have been there.....HECK YES!!!! They were the best team in the SE DIII and earned it. The NA comment about they would have played CCC better is nothing but pure speculation and is GARBAGE! If you think so, then they should have beaten Piketon and then Grandview and punched they're own ticket! I'm not going to comment on how I think they would have done, because it would be the same garbage all over again.

Piketon was a great ball club this year no doubt but honestly almost every shot from ccc was 3-point or lay up no real inside shots they needed to contest 3 points a little bit more. When you get that far in uasully the other team can hit most shots

Piketon did get off to a bad start in the state semifinals, but nevertheless the Redstreaks had a fabulous season........out of 200 schools in D3, there were only 4 left at the state, and Piketon was one of them..........

Man, if only Piketon would have stalled when up 2-0, they would have won!

It still pains me when I think about the CCC game, but then I think of the 3 Westfall games, the home ZT game, the Grandview game, the NA game, and the pain goes away. Say what you want about the Streaks, but they had a year like none other in Piketon basketball histroy, and those boys will have a lifetime of memories.

xo, Maybe Coach Lisath will welcome you to his staff, as it appears you know more than he does.
