SOC League Honors
SOC League Honors
Now that every SOC team is sadly out of the playoffs what are your thoughts on who should get what? When are they usually released?

What all specific awards are given out? I would have to say Brent Daniels for coach of the year. Will be close between Pendleton, Schankweiler and Oesch for Back of the Year.

Re: SOC League Honors
If the focus is on performance during conference play, that would have a big impact as some players really stepped up in conference play. Whether based on conference play alone or the entire season, Minford should have several on the all conference team and arguably have the best O-line, receivers, tight end, QB, running backs, linebackers, and corners in the league. Of course other teams will feel the same way but the positions listed above dominated throughout the entire season. Minford had the most 2nd level points in the region and 6th most 2nd level points in Division V, so their successes were against solid programs.
As for coach of the year, hands down it should be Brent Daniels.

SOC picks are pre-determined by the team finish in the league. There are only 1st team picks and 2nd team picks. Nothing by position except the POY.

Correct, I was just saying, in essence, Minford should have several players on the SOC team, which as you stated is based on where each team finished in the SOC. I guess that was like a Madden-ism.

We won't know until the SOC releases the list. Everything's been selected, but it's all secret until they release it.

Re: SOC League Honors
My best guess would be that it will be out tomorrow...with that being said
Back of the Year-Pendleton (Oesch at second)
Defensive Player of the Year-Tyler Lang (if Oesch wins back of the year, I could see this going to Pendleton possibly, I also could see Valley's Bj Coleman or Brice Crabtree as a long shot)
Coach of the Year-Brent Daniels

because he had 1500 yards and almost on every play he had to earn those yards by himself. Not much help from the offensive line.

he obviously had some line blocking or he would have never reached 1,000 yards. he will have a chance next year so bide your time.
