I think Heath takes the league but they will have at least one league loss if not 2.

Hows Newark Catholic's home attendance since jumping to the big league?

I think the biggest crowd they had this season was the 2nd scrimmage game.

As the team starts to falter the crowd seems to thin out a lot.

Heath should win pretty easy.

The attendance is a year by year thing because of the way the league is scheduled. Odd years will always be a bit down because all of the big games are on the road. Amanda, Heath, Granville, LV and Columbus Academy. The home games were Fisher Catholic, Centerburg, Lakewood, Bexley and Whitehall.

I see Heath winning this league and going undefeated. The two biggest nemesis (and only two regular season losses), Licking Valley and Granville will be at home. NC loses a lot and Heath has beaten NC at White Field more than they have in Heath.
The Bulldogs return 10 of 11 starters on defense and 7 of 11 on offense. That's 15 returning players and the only two that started both ways. Gresham will be hard to replace but I see sophomore - to - be Donnell Simpson replacing him. Another scenerio sees Nelson Scott moving to tailback and McDanials returning to play his senior year and playing fullback.
Dylan Weathey will be another that will be sorely missed but I see junior - to -
be Rodney Porter taking over his spot. With the uncertainity in the Newark program I would not be surprised to see a couple new faces moving into Heath next year bolstering the 'dogs.
Gresham's 2000 yds will be hard to replace but Scott had over 1000 yds rushing and Simpson had over 600 yds in limited varsity action last season. QB Cole Benner can add more yds with his arm and legs. Although Heath may not be as explosive, I see plenty of firepower and a defense that saw vast improvement over the second half of the season will only get better.

The Bulldogs of Heath should win this year as NC lost a lot from last year (even though they continue to reload @ DVI) and Licking Valley is on a downslide here the last couple years.

Heath is the team to beat.

Columbus Academy, Granville, Newark Catholic and Licking Valley are fighting for second IMHO.

CA has a lot of skill position talent coming back and they have great coaching. Granville lost a lot but they have a very good coaching staff. Newark Catholic is looking to rebound. They have some young talent and with the changes in assistant coaches I predict a improved team from the last couple of years. Licking Valley will be better this year, they have a good group of seniors with some young talent. Last years season motivated them in the off season workouts.

I went a watched NC scrimmage Bloom Carroll Friday. NC looked OK. They have some upside but the line has much work to do. I would say they have enough to compete in region 23, if they make the playoffs. At best I think they'll go 8-2. With losses to NY and Heath. Columbus Academy will be tough and that could drop them to 7-3. Granville will be a tough game for them as well. Granville loss some key players but they have many starters returning and they are well coached. Licking Valley should be better this year but down from their glory years of 2000-2008. The greenwave could finish the regular season anywhere between 8-2 to 5-5. IMO 7-3 locks up a playoff spot for them.
