SEOAL Throwing Showdown

I smell a pretty good competition between the Logan, Jackson, Chillicothe and Ironton boys throwing events. Looks like Logan has the kids to beat with two solid throwers, Chillicothe and Ironton has two decent launchers, and the unproven kid from Jackson. Good to see an event with 3 or 4 potential regional qualifiers from the same league. Not many results posted, but who else is out there in the SEOAL throwing over 135 ft. discus and 45 ft. shot?

At Logan we have a sophomore who tossed the cannonball 56' indoors. Saturday at Watkins he did something foolish and rather than get a mark for the team to make it to the finals he launched his third throw out of bounds. His first two were toe fouls. He is, basically, a rookie, but he threw a personal record in the discus.

I heard about him. You guys keep churning them out. It would be cool at the league meet this year if all the finalists were over 50' and 140'

Doesn't Logan have a couple more boys throwing 45'--Murphy and Arnold?
