Perfect day for a pair of baseball games.
Myers was a human hitting machine today, Glad to have had a chat with you before and after the game.
Got to talk to David Hopkins before the game and also John Tipton, two fine basketball officials.

Actually the winning pitcher in the first game was Calvert...I know it was just a typo but had to post =]
Re: Gallipolis sweeps twinbill from Portsmouth, 7-0, 11-7
galliassportsfan...got it corrected...Long afternoon and although GAHS used only two pitchers, PHS used five or six; Don't see how today's scorekeepers are able to keep things straight with pinch hitters, return players, pinch runners, etc.

It's not over estimating this young Trojan team they are much better than last year. They will only get better as the year goes on they are still above .500 on the season. This team only won 4 games all last year and have already won 5 game in the first 2 weeks of the season. Gallia has a fine ball club and should win the the league now with a 4 game lead on the Trojans in the South. Portsmouth only starts 2 seniors on this team and will only get better over the remainder of this year and next. This coaching staff will put these boys in a good position to win a lot of games over the remainder of the year. Slumps happen and other than Myers we are in a hitting slump right now. It will come around, just wait and see we still have one more game with Gallia. Side note; is there any question that Myers is the POY in the SEOAL. He's unbelievable with the bat in his hands, he has a streak of 13 straight hits I beleive. There is no one on the same level talent wise as this young man in the SEOAL. But we need more than just Myers to win ball game the rest of the way. GO TROJANS!
Re: Gallipolis sweeps twinbill from Portsmouth, 7-0, 11-7
we are seeing how bad we miss Coakley in our line up, not only for his pitching, but for his fielding when Myers pitches, I sure would have liked to seen him in this line up.
like posted above this team will be fine, esp when they all start hitting the ball together.
and about Myers,,,,if there is a better one out there,Id sure like to see him play

Dingess is a fine athlete both in football and baseball. But, Myers is the head of the class in both of those sports. He was the SEOAL SOUTH POY in football and should repeat the samething in baseball. He's has to batting over .700 on the season and is currently on a streak of 13 straight hits. It's not a put down to any of the other fine athlete's in the league, but if you ask most they will tell you Myers is in a league of his own.
