some pub for scioto co girls.

Post by ManitouDan »

lots of girls at all age groups are excelling in fastpitch at the highest levels these days, a bunch with ties to former scioto co wild thang organization. I thought I'd name a few but would love for people to add to the list. Every kid I will name has the potential and God given talent to be a college scholarship type player. in no order at all:

Taryn Alvelo - Laser Black now , former WT, 13u kid with a tremendous work ethic and most certainly one the best 13u pitchers in all of ohio. throwing at or above 60 as a 1st yr 14u player. hits it a ton also. now lives in columbus area. but will also be a scioto co girl to me.

Michael Cunningham, also a laser black player, still 12u eligible but playing up in age and is a team leader . catches , plays 3rd, and could handle any spot you put her.

Kaylin Corns. good enough to start at the most difficult position , other than pitcher, at the varsity level as a freshman on a team that only lost 2 or 3 games. tough as a pine knot, great kid with a great attitude.

Kayla Koch . cinci doom player, will join Corns at Valley next season in HS . Recently homered 5 times in 4 games against top flight summer travel baller's on Pick Central's HS field . Only gave up 2 runs in the circle in 2 games pitched at the Stingrays tourney.
can play 3rd , 1st or pitch . finished top 3 in the home run derby in Indianapolis in a field of 30-40 16-18u players at the circle city showcase event.

Taylor Dempsey . power hitting 3rd baseman and catcher. will be at wheelersburg HS in 2 years

Miranda Pauley. doing super for the Hawks 15u team this summer. Will be a soph at Notre Dame next season after a super freshman year.

Lauren Dunn , Vipers , also a Valley HS player. good speed , can hit, and a head that is always in the game. type of kid that coaches dream about.

well thats a start , no offense to any kid I forgot, there are several kids playing out of the area I don't even know what summer team they are playing on. And several kids of the Buckeye Elite 12u team are worthy of mention , they showed they belong at the top of ohio's best already.

feel free to add to the list MD
