Coach Johnson Honored at Board Meeting


Track Coach, Gary Johnson was recognized by the Wheelersburg Board of Education during its regular September meeting for his thirty years of dedicated coaching. During his tenure he coached girls' teams for five years and boys' teams for twenty-five years. Mr. Johnson’s hard work and attention to detail has shaped the program into one of Southern Ohio’s finest. His teams accomplished four Girls' S.O.C. Championships and three Girls' District Championships. Mr. Johnson led the boys’ team to seventeen S.O.C. Championships, nine District Championships and one Regional Championship. He also coached eighty-six individual State Meet Qualifiers and two Individual State Champions.
