Re: Huntington Football 2011
I think if Sam Beeler gets the coaching job he might be able to turn the program around! The man knows what he is talking about! its just can he get enough of the boys to come out and play? and will he bring any of the coaches back such as deal the head defencive coach?

To be honest they need to give the job to a Huntington guy. Someone who will not use the position as a stepping stone. Knows the kids and community and will be given time to turn the program around. That person then must surround himself with football people. Get into the school and recruit.

Re: Huntington Football 2011
not sure who it is going to be. but i agree they should give it to someone in the community and give them a few years to turn it around thats why i think beeler should get it.
Re: Huntington Football 2011
Huntington is like any high school that size, you have to get the kids to come out and play to be competitive. I agree they do need a local guy or at least somebody that the Huntsmen community will support. Parents have to support the program and encourage their kids and the neighbors kids to go out for the team or nobody can turn it around. As a Huntsmen grad, I sure hope they do!! Ditto on Coach Deal, he's in it because he loves it and he has a great rapport with the kids.

Then just give the job to Pickle. He will surround himself with good people.

I would love to see Coach carmen come back. I believe he could be the best thing to ever happen to huntington football. The thing with Huntington football you will have 1or2 players that will fully committ to the weight room and actually get ready for the season. Whoever gets the job best of luck and Go Green
