Athens is coming off a tough loss to the Vikings look for them to try and get back into things by coming out strong, looking "sharp" and hitting the 3ball of course.

The only things for sure are that there are no good officials in this area, (except for the two gentlemen who announce the Athens games on 15), and every official in the area is out to get Athens. If you don't believe me just tune in to 15 for the replay of the game and let those two experts tell you so. Lastly, let it be said that any official who makes a call against Athens during crunch time should be renamed "Homer."

I see Athens in and easy win. I also agree with Motivator on the channel 15 announcers for the Athens games. They spend to much time officiating but I'd say they have a better view from way, way up at the top of the bleachers then the officials down on the floor.

I love to listen to the "biased" crews of Nelsonville 15 Cable - NY TRIMBLE AND ATHENS - if it bothers you, dont watch, or turn down the volume. :-D

Daniel Kline's 15 points and Kyle Moore's 11 points and 12 rebounds led Nelsonville-York to a 50-39 win over Athens at Ben Wagner gymnasium. N-Y snaps a seven-game losing streak and improves to 5-10 while Athens falls to 6-10. Just last week, Athens beat N-Y 50-34 behind 23 points from Dean Maffin, but Maffin only scored nine tonight. Here's the HH Game Recap!

Great job Buckeys. I'm sure Nelsonville couldn't win this game on their own. Athens loses it's always because of officials or they are sick. Everyone has been sick but Athens seems to be the only one to use this excuse for a lose. The Announcers for NY are very good and never talk bad about the other team or the officials. It's enjoyable to watch and listen to them. I do turn the volume down on the others. Again big suprise to me but great job Buckeyes.

This part of your post is pretty much what I was going to say. Except that I would say the Athens guys are extremely knowledgeable about basketball, and I like listening to them. It is just comical to hear them when they start ripping the officials for cheating. Kind of hurts their credibility IMO. The NY crew is good, and I listen to them. I turn the volume down when the Trimble crew is on, except when the Downs guy is there, but even then I have to turn it down when the other guy cuts in. They should get the Downs guy to find someone else to work with him. Those of you who don't like my posts can take Spartan's advice and stop reading them.

The Athens guys are good guys but may be better suited for Baseball and Football announcing. You're right the Trimble people are the worst and with all those nicknames. It's nice to at least get to watch the games thanks to Joe Edwards and Nelsonville TV Cable for those of us who don't get out much to the games.

The Hunter guy on 105.5 is really good on the radio also but don't much care for the other guys. Hunter has a good voice and understands the game. Maybe he should do the Trimble games, he's an old Tomcat isn't he?

Okay, I admit I don't like officials very much. Coach for 40 years and you get a little nuts. I would like to say the "homer" call at the Alexander game was one that I greatly regret. Sometimes you just say stupid things in the heat of the moment. I wish I could be as neutral as Jim, but I guess I'm not wired that way. I believe the comment about them never saying anything bad about the players of the other team was a way of saying we do. We have never bad mouthed another teams players or coaches. We go out of our way to praise them. And just so you know how I feel about the game at N-Y on Tuesday, The Buckeyes played a great game and the Bulldogs didn't. Cline, Cox, Moore, Dexter, Dean, and Swingle give N-Y six very good players. They certainly have enough talent to beat anyone in the league. Athens does have some sickness, but I'm sure every team is suffering from the same virus that's going around. No excuses at this end. They all played and tried their best. When the ball doesn't go in it's hard to win. The crowd was into the game and it was great to see the turnout. We were surprised by the low turnout at Athens, but the Buckeye fans were back in full force for the Bulldogs.
Our crew will continue to work to bring the Athens games to Nelsonville TV Cable and we hope we can make everyone happy, but we will continue to be pro-Athens. We can't do it anyother way. Motivator, leave the sound on, the game is so much better when you can hear the crowd, even if you can't stand the commentators. I'm happy you think we're "knowledgeable" and we will strive to get better. We really do want to do a good job for Joe and Betty, and if we can improve, we will certainly try to do so.

Good post bulldog64. Pay no mind to the others. They wish they were on the radio. I am sure it is hard at times, especially if you are a coach of many years. Trimble does fine. Geez leave it alone, nick names are their way of complimenting the boys and they like it and that is all that matters. Those who don't like it should turn down the volume or apply to commitate the game. Just hope they don't do reference checks. GO CATS!!
