Portsmouth Clay #1 vs Belpre #4 @ Jackson 2/24/2011

Post by UUsokkr12 »

How is this matchup looking? I haven't seen or heard anything about Belpre. Went to their website, but they don't have any results of the teams they've played. What's their season result?

I'll say Clay wins this 48 - 40 in a close game.

Clay can be tough to beat when everyone is contributing. But if they try to leave it to Hempill to score and Curley to bring the ball up the court on their own, then this could prove to be a close game.

Bower, Beagan, and Craft have to stay out of foul trouble and help take the pressure off of Hempill. Whitley and Jenkins will also need to be defensive contributors.

Good Luck Lady Panthers!

I'm looking for the Lady Panthers to dominate. They have the size advantage, and overall better shooting guards and ball movement.
Hempill had a big game last Thursday, and they'll be looking to shut her down. The rest of the players will have to step it up a notch.

Curly did step it up for a freshmen, five points in the 1st qtr, 12 for the game...key will be guard play as it always is at this level..who's guards will be the best, less to's..looking for Curley to go off in one of these games...she can do it..Hempill is tough inside, they have very balanced team it seems..Go Panthers!

Belpre up 23-15 at the half. Big girl from clay got 2 quick fouls or clay would be winning. Belpre doesn't have the size to guard her when she's in
