All-SOC Teams Announced

Boys All-SOC team selected
by PDT Sports Report Portsmouth Daily Times

The Southern Ohio Conference released its list of the all-conference boys basketball teams.

The SOC Division I first team is made up of: T.J. McCloud, Pat Pierce and Tyler Hughes of Green, Luke Taylor, Josh Craft and D.J. Miller from Symmes Valley, Nathan Burchett and Jon Valentine from Clay, Jordan Thornsberry of Eastern, Tyler Noel of Notre Dame, Levi Horsley of New Boston, Justin Crager of East and Klay Park of Western.

Those making the boys SOC I second team include: Chad Lewis and Cody Bruce of Green, Ryan Stanley and Tyler Wilson of Symmes Valley, Cody DeLotell of Clay, Dakota Hawks of Eastern, Kevin Lewis of Notre Dame, Shane Buckley of New Boston, Corey Haywood of East and Bruce Knauff of Western.

The SOC I co-champions were Green and Symmes Valley while T.J. McCloud of Green and Luke Taylor of Symmes Valley earned SOC I co-players of the year.

The co-coahces of the year in the SOC I were Bobby Blanton of Green and Jerome Fuller Symmes Valley.

The SOC II first team is made up of; Andy Stegman and Webb Ballard of Wheelersburg, Connor Scott and Austin Loop of South Webster, Drew Cannon and Jesse Slone of Oak Hill, Jake Kretzer and Harrison Martin of Waverly, Blake Yates of Valley, Kenny Crabtree of Northwest, Zach Bolton of West and Brett Taylor of Minford.

Those making the boys SOC II second team include; Brandon Schankweiler, Shane Ward and Austin McBee of Wheelersburg, Josh Wright and David Sutton of South Webster, Garrin Stiltner of Oak Hill, Robbie Dwyer of Valley, Jeremy Blankenship of Northwest, Tanner Journey of West and Mark Slone of Minford.

The SOC II champion was Wheelersburg while Andy Stegman was the SOC II player of the year and Tom Barrick of Wheelersburg was the SOC II coach of the year.

I think its nice how Graham and Porter from Clay didnt recieve any honors at alll this year

There are 23 players on the SOC 1 teams??? Has there always been this many players make 1st/2nd team all SOC??? Seems a bit high for 8 teams dont you think??

and the SOC I CO_CHAMPIONS placed THREE players EACH on the 1st team while the SOC II OUTRIGHT CHAMPIONS placed only TWO players on the 1st team.

What's with that ?? :?
