Re: 2011 Portsmouth football
My predicted record for this year is 6-4, with wins coming over the Burg and the West Senators. Both teams lost very key players. Schankweiler single handedly beat us by himself in last season's matchup, which came down to the wire. He scored with i believe 20 seconds left. Pendleton from West did the same thing, but blew us out. Hope his leg gets better though. He's a heck of a player.

Re: 2011 Portsmouth football
After a very successful year of running the Speed Performance Oriented Resistance Training clinic in Jackson last , I am planning to expand into the Portsmouth area this year, due to interest I have received from members of the PHS team. Here is a link to the SPORT brochure http://www.posterwall.com/blog.php?b=1770. Please disregard the pricing structure, as thoes are the Jackson rates, as I do not know yet where I will be operating in Portsmouth. Hopefully we will be able to get into the old gym or find somewhere suitable. Spartan Stadium fields may also be an option. Either one of those places would allow me to drop the price as I will not have to rent a facility as I do in Jackson. The SPORT clinic will also continue to operate in Jackson. I hope to have the opportunity to train several Trojans this year.

It's not time for the Trojans to get out of the SEOAL.......but it is time for the Trojans to work harder and get better.

I do think though it's time to get out of the spread. With those athletic backs and the size of their line that Portsmouth has, they would have more wins. Just my opinion.

I mean it is hard for the Trojans to compete year in year out with the larger schools. My opinion ;;;

I'm fairly certain that the first 3 games next season will be at Wilmington, with West and Wheelersburg coming to the Trojan Coliseum after that.

Why in the world are we playing them. This is a no win situation for us.

I thought the same thing, maybe they will be a member next year?Trojan_FB_Alum wrote:http://www.joeeitel.com/hsfoot/teams.js ... &year=2010

Re: 2011 Portsmouth football
Even if they are a member this year, as a D6 school with a .500 record at best it does us no good. We would be better to play a 9 game seasons. God forbid what if we were to lose to them? What is the thought behind this? I can't imagine us playing a school like this a few years back. I know we aren't anything close to what we were, but this is not good for the program to play a team like this. I personally would rather play up to a big school and risk taking a bad beating.

What is worse about that as of right now, their only other games scheduled for next year are all D6 schools.

Re: 2011 Portsmouth football
I so hope this team is not on our schedule.
What really ticks me off is that Bishop Watterson has an open date that week. Did we even try to get them?
As far as I can tell this is Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy, 3rd year of football, and have yet to play a full 10 game schedule, unless they are this year. I know were down, but this isn't the way to rebuild. I know the rest of the schedule is tougher than most around here, but this one game really puts a black eye on it.
