Gallia Academy 9 - Meigs 1

Post by grannyblue »

The GAHS Blue Angels defeated Meigs 9-1 on Thursday afternoon. Sr. Heather Ward had another outstanding pitching effort striking out 14 and walking 2, while giving up 2 hits and one unearned run. Sophmore Maggie Westfall lead the Angels going 4-4 at the plate (3 doubles and a single). Ward was 3-4 including a triple, double and a single. Sr. Mattie Lanham and soph. Violet Pelfrey had two hits each while seniors Kanessa Snyder, Rachel Morris and Brittany Lloyd as well as freshmen Chelsy Slone each had one hit for a grand total of 15 hits! GAHS hosts Logan on Friday and a double-header with Hilliard Davidson (out of Columbus) on Saturday at 1:00 at the University of Rio Grande. Gotta love these hard-working ladies! Go BLUE!!!!!

Impressive wins over Warren and Meigs.

Gallia Academy continues to be a top program. The SEOAL goes through them until proven otherwise.

Congrats on another win.

Is Meigs expected to struggle this season?

Not really. Gallia Academy has a great program and it's been years since they haven't been very good.
