High Schoool team versus College team

Post by old-timer »

Is it legal for my high school team to scrimmage a college team between Feb. 20th and June 1st? I don't think so, but not sure. Could be a good idea if allowed before tournament game against opponent with strong pitching. :)

Ohio is one of a few states that does not force you to play member schools. You can play any opponent you chose so long as it is in accordance with the ohsaa guidelines.. (6) Scrimmages or Previews — Maximum of four scrimmages or three scrimmages and one preview. Any contest played in a non-contiguous state must count as a game.
7) Regular season games permitted — Maximum of 27 on 23 playing dates.
Doubleheaders must be played on nonschool days or days when there is no school the following day.)

And is played under NFHS rules..
I have seen basketball teams do this.
