Portsmouth West 2012

Post by Black&Orange23 »

How do you think they will be this year? Haffer Travis Frye Bolton and Davis look to be the starting five. I hear Alec Meeker will be back to play this year. That would help the Senators on Defense.
What do you think :aaaaa14 :aaaaa14 :aaaaa58 ?

West doesn't need to improve defense, they need to improve their offense. We have been a very good defense recently. There are a lot of talented, athletic boys on this team, but this group has not found a way to put the ball in the basket. Next year, Jb Travis will be solid offensively, he will get his 15-20 points a game next year, but the real X-factors are Hafer and our play from the point guard position. Hafer started to come alive near the end of the season, but if he can score and occupy the paint it will spread the floor for Travis and Bolton. The other key will be if can get a point guard to drive the lane and get to foul line. I expect Davis and Bricker to both be improved this year. All and all with the players we could the best season we have had in a while, lets just hope this good can finally capitalize on their potiental.

The only 2 I know are Hafer and Davis from AAU ball. Hafer is a really good athlete who is strong in the paint and a terrific rebounder. Davis should be ready to handle the PG spot at the varsity level easily. Davis is fast and strong for his size with an excellent outside shot as well as being able to penetrate well. I definitely think West will be improved from the past couple years as far as their record goes.

If I'm not mistaken Steve Irwin goes there as well. I know he is only a sophomore but he is very crafty and scores in unusual ways. He should be able to contribute as well, he's a very intelligent player.
