Re: piketon soccer
Piketon has some very nice players, including Dylan. It takes some time to build a program. When they didn't field a team a few years ago it really hurt in their development. They have a large number of players playing in the youth league. They really need to be able to field a Junior High team in the next couple years in order to keep the interest until they get up to High School. Also I would suggest to try and push their better players to try and play club soccer in the spring. www.firstcapitalfc.com is the local club.
It will take patience but they have the ability to be able to field an average or above team for the area.

yikes. Last time i remember seeing them play was against South Webster in 2008. It was pretty ugly. Haven't really seen them since.

Re: piketon soccer
This has been a strange program throughout it's history. It has a beautiful complex and the school always has athletes, they have a 10 win season and had a couple of players go on to play at the next level. And then, next thing you know, they don't have a team for 2-3 years and that kills a program.
If the players stick with it and trust in Coach Martin, things will start to turn around. He started the Unioto program in the mid 80's and did a nice job getting things going in the right direction. Obviously, things can only get better from here.

They are an up and coming team, i can see them doing something good in the future if they can keep a program. maybe start a pee wee program.

I look for this team to show more improvements going into next season. I see a par season next year for the redstreaks

I am pretty sure the final score was 10-0 valley is a very tough team, and lets face it piketon is not doing the best this season. like their effort though, even though they are down they keep playing.
