In a wild, raucous, intense, and exciting game:
Zanesvil 11 14 11 14 -- 50
Marietta 14 13 7 17 -- 51
I'm sure the losers are going home with hard feelings. It may not have been so much so if some of the adults concentated more on what they had responsibility for and had control of, than what they didn't. With 30 sec left, Zanesville led by 50-44, and Marietta had no business winning the game. More to write later if I get time.

Re: Zanesville 50 @ Marietta 51
Zanesville had the ball with 25 secs left and up 4.
Marietta steals ball and hits 3 in transition to pull within 1 with 9 secs left.
After timeout zanesville turns the ball over trying to inbounds.
Marietta misses inbounds shot with about 7 secs but get offensive rebound and gets fouled.
Marietta hit both foul shots with 4 secs left. Zanesville get one last shot off but no good.
Marietta played zone all game.
Really intense game, well played. Crowd out of control.

This game could have only been played at Marietta. That 25 seconds would be suspect.fighting_falcon wrote:Zanesville had the ball with 25 secs left and up 4.

Nothing suspect here. Zanesville made a couple of bad decisions down the stretch and Marietta took advantage.
If you are referring to officials then you offend the players and their accomplishments. Unlike the SEOAL the officials are assigned by the commish. The ECOL commish is not from Marietta or Zanesville, unlike the SEOAL whose commish was from Logan.

I think there is some history here. LIke it or not playing at Marietta is what it is. Nothing about the players and nothing was implied as I read the post. From a personal standpoint not having to play at Marietta is a plus. There are a lot of good people down there by the way.pitt87fan wrote:Nothing suspect here.
