Jackson vs Ironton 7th & 8th Football

Jackson plays Ironton 7th & 8th grade football teams this Thursday.

Does Ironton have a full 7th grade team and a full 8th grade team?

Have heard they only play 2 quarters with the 7th grade team. Is this still true?

No they have a combined team. When they played West 7th they .only played 2 quarters

Not sure what the coaches will be doing this week. Half of the 8th grade team is still 7th graders, however, we have had some kids move back into our district and a couple more get healthy since the West game. We might now have enough for a 7th grade game. I believe they played a full game vs Portsmouth.

That's the only thing he has to fall back on. He went on about it for 2 weeks then when he got butt hurt he went to the moderators and had the thread removed. So why bring it up again? Did a week off give you your confidence back?

We are all just fine here in Ironton...as usual we will be playing a tough Jackson team this week and looking foreward to it. As I said we will show up. Ironton don't ever back down to a game like some others may do. We stair a good team in their face and look forward to the challenge. Ironton is just fine. Worry about your game this week boys. We will do our best in ours.

Ironton now has 7 eighth graders with the kid that transferred back from Columbus. Many of the 7th graders start on the 8th grade team. 7th/8th grades next year will be in good shape as the 7th this year has 20 kids and the 6th grade had over 30.

Did I read that right? 38-0? This guy goes on and on for 2 weeks about some made up game that didn't exist against a team that already hammered them. Goes on and on about how they were healthy now and how much they had improved. That they were gonna beat them now . Then they go out and loose 38-0?

I've seen irontons jr high play the last 2 years, numbers seem to be way down and I just don't see much there. Their football program could be in for some rough years.

Can't convince IBTT of that. They were good before so they have to be good now. Right?

Jackson would wear West out...they were by far the best team we played all year. They were big and fast. We didn't have as many kids on our team as they had 8th graders...we got beat on the pass again. We had some nice runs, but we just didn't have the kids to compete with a very good Division 3 team. I have to say this junior high team should be tough to beat next year. Once these kids all get together in high school it should mesh well. This Jackson team wasn't scored on all season and we got close twice, but not good enough. Proud of the effort. Have to say our boys never backed down to one Heck of a tough schedule.
