Pick your poison, Brown, Jorris or Nixon. Can't stop them all, at least Caldwell couldn't.

Re: PVC Week 5: Fort Frye @ Monroe Central (2-2)
Tough matchup defensively for Cadets but I think the Cadets will move the ball the game will be decided by the team the turns the ball over. A ton of things going in Noles favor- 1. Fort Frye is the only league to beat Noles recently. (Revenge on mind) 2. Woodsfield tough place to play. 3. When was last time the Cadets won in Woodsfield? 4. It's MC Homecoming. I say Noles are a 9 point favorite in front of the big crowd.

Good possibility I will be there for this one. Haven't seen Chief Jay or Coach Schuerman in a couple of years, I'm overdue........ :122246
Just have to see how the work week plays out. I'd love to catch this one at the beautiful Monroe Memorial Park. IMHO, no better place, or atmosphere, to watch a high school football game.

I haven't got the chance to see Fort Frye yet this year, but basing off what I saw from Central last night. I think they take this one. Lang and co will get their points, I'm just not sure if they have the depth or defense to keep up with Jorris, Nixon, etc. That MC running game could wear down the Cadets fast.

Just wait until Friday in Woodsfield it won't be the rain that makes you miserable. Noles by 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!EasternDspy wrote:Just left FF game in 2nd it was 35-0 FF in 2nd the rain made it miserable.

You talk a lot about how jorris and Monroe are better than Lang and fort frye. I agree with you football wise. But you have put a target on your back. You keep jarring Lang like he can't respond. On the football field where you rely on your 10 team mates you have help. But you try to make it personal it is awful. I choose Monroe in this game. Good luck.

A lot of people are talking about Jorris as a threat. I honestly think the Morton kid will be the biggest mismatch for FF. He's a tall, athletic target that Nixon likes to go to deep. FF's corners, Shuster and I think Prichard, will be undersized against him. And if they try to cover him with two or three guys, that could benefit Nixon/Brown in the running game. I think this will be a close game, because FF does have Lang and an experienced line, but I see MC coming out on top.

I believe I've said that Monroe would beat FF from the get go. You guys take me talking about my team as my hyping but I just talk about what I know. I do know this Coach Huck has turned this program around. They went to playoffs last year and there 4-0 so yes people from Beverly are excited.
Re: PVC Week 5: Fort Frye @ Monroe Central (2-2)
The Noles win if:
-The team from the past two weeks shows up.
-Brown matches the outing he had vs Caldwell. I look for 25-30 carries for him once again. The toughest 5'4 running back you'll find. Kid runs like he is 6-2 230.
-Nixon needs to continue throwing the ball well to keep Monroe from leaning on the run all night.
The Cadets win if:
-The MC team from weeks 1&2 shows up.
-Another player can step up to take some of the load off of Lang. Look for Schuerman to have a lot of spy packages in.
-The FF defense can contain Brown from having a game like he had in weeks 3 & 4.
Should be a good one!
Look for a big crowd being homecoming week.

Re: PVC Week 5: Fort Frye(4-0) @ Monroe Central (2-2)
Like EDspy, it looks like all the intagibles are in Monroe Central's corner. It's nice to see the Monroe Central fans obviously a little riled for a game. The revenge factor is obviously in play, as well as home field advantage. It's one game between two pretty good teams. A lot can happen.

I think Fort Frye will score. Chandler has been proven hard to stop. I think it will be a shoot out.

Probably be Lang right and Lang I just hope everyone stays healthy. This is a Monroe and Fort Frye league in Football and Basketball. That's probably why River wanted to leave the league.
