2013 Boy's Scores
2013 Boy's Scores
Well, another season is upon us. As in the past, I will be heavily involved in keeping scores updated on the OSSCA website. Coaches are encouraged to enter their own scores, but the reality is that many do not. For that reason, there are several people, including myself, who keep scores updated throughout the state. In order to do this, I need the help of everyone here. Please take care to only post accurate scores. It is also helpful that if you post a score, you state clearly that it is a FINAL. Thanks and I hope all will have a good season.
Also, feel free to post scrimmage scores here for the next 10 days or so, but please if posting a scrimmage score, make it clear that it was a scrimmage. Games are not allowed before the 17th so I will assume that anything before that is a scrimmage but especially on the 17th it will be important as many schools will be playing their first game and many schools will be playing their final scrimmage on that day.

Re: 2013 Boy's Scores
West 1 Clay 1
West 2 St. Joe 3 (2 unlucky own goals by west)
West 8 West Union 0
West won't be great, but watch out for a solid west team this year

Re: 2013 Boy's Scores
I watched the West - St. Joe game last Saturday and don't remember any own goals on West part. I did see the goal keeper let a dribbler go between his legs that put St. Joe back up.
Re: 2013 Boy's Scores
Many teams start their season tomorrow. The only SE games listed are:
Lynchburg-Clay Georgetown 10:00
Unioto (Chillicothe) Jonathan Alder (Plain City) 7:15 PM
I'm guessing that there are many more than that. Post results tomorrow and I will add and update the games.

Waverly 3
McClain 3
Very rough opening match for Waverly. Didn't play sharp and fell behind 3-1. Great comeback and scored twice in final 2 minutes to get a draw. McClain is a tough team and played very well tonight.

West 2
St. Joe 2
West held a 2-0 lead with 21 minutes left when a thunderstorm hit. After sitting on the bus for twenty minutes, they came out rusty. It's really disappointing for the kids. They were playing excellent soccer and were threatening to put more goals on the board.
