Post 21 in Athens
Any word on how the Post is doing? Went to the old website and it's not there anymore. I was looking to see who was playing and a schedule.

Re: Post 21 in Athens
schedule was in the Messenger a few days ago ... I think they are (5-2) right now ... lots of different kids from around the county are on this years team. (I don't have a roster, just know that after reading the write-ups on their games thus far.)greatone wrote:Any word on how the Post is doing? Went to the old website and it's not there anymore. Tough loss last night but looks like their off to a good start. I seen in todays paper Chris Ford is on the team. Is he playing college ball anywhere?

I think so ... American legion is just a different animal now than it use to be - not sure they could afford to put on such a tournament ... and did you notice how soon the 8th district tournament was? July 14th seems really early ... when we won the district in 93 and went to the state tournament it was August.greatone wrote:Also I notice no July 4th tournament on it. Did they do away with it?

I really wanted to see JD Chesser return for his last year but was not able to nudge him that direction.

HE HAD ANOTHER YEAR?
MAN THEY COULD HAVE USED HIM - YOU SHOULD HAVE LET ME TWIST HIS ARM tomcatdad ... lol
Chesser, Ford, Wood ... talk about a 1-2-3 punch in the middle of the lineup.
Re: Post 21 in Athens
i wish you would have twisted it...lol..that line up would have been something to watch

I think so ... but Tanner Wood is a better player now (TVC-Ohio offensive P.O.Y.) ... and Chris Ford just spent a season playing college baseball ... and I'm sure J.D. can still swing it.
