In an earlier post in the summer, didn't wheelersburg have a possible date with Akron Hoban?
Re: Wk 3: Wheelersburg @ Portsmouth
That was fell through because burg needed a home game.
As for portsmouth, this one wont be close. Burg by 5tds

Believe would have been a great game for burg. Granted Hoban beat canton mckinley 49-0 and Buchtel 25 - 0, really good competition early too. Only would have helped for post season.

It serves not to run up the score early. You would like to get a complete game in if possible. I noticed Rod had the soph QB in for a play or two in the first quarter last night, I don't know, there could have been more youngsters in. Playing 48 minutes will help you more than a running clock in the long run.

Burg is very good, think they win this one. Just hope the Trojans come out and keep improving each week like this past one. Go Trojans
Re: Wk 3: Wheelersburg @ Portsmouth
Portsmouth is beaming with confidence after a big win at home. The Trojans will hang around for awhile, but Burg will be too much.

The sophomore QB came in because the starter had a cut on his arm and was bleeding. Once he was bandaged up he came right back in.callie11 wrote:It serves not to run up the score early. I hope you're right. I hate blowout games. Hopefully both teams play hard and improve!FrenchtownFan wrote:Wheelersburg wins on Fryday, 29-16

If it's that close, then burg is just mediocre. I didn't see anything in the previews that would suggest Portsmouth being good this year.
