Tragedy Rocks Viking Nation
Prayers are needed for all of our football Vikings, especially for one in particular. While on his way to the JV football game yesterday evening at Wellston, our JV fullbacks father lost his life in car accident. The young man had no idea this had happened and was a work horse the entire game. He assisted his brothers to a 14-6 win, which is the first win this season for the high school program. Unfortunately, the celebration was short lived as he and his sister was notified right after the game. Every one in attendance was rocked with emotion as we all felt these young people's pain. His brothers rallied behind him, said a prayer, and shed many tears with him. Please keep this young man, his family, and his brothers on his team in your thoughts and prayers.
Also, to Coach Phillips, his coaching staff, trainer, and most importantly The Wellston Rockets Football Players, THANK you for the beautiful show of support. It was very humbling to see all of you come across the field as one unit, rally around our kids, and offer your condolences. Although we are rivals on the field we are brothers in the game. Very Very Classy!!
Some times we all get caught up in fandom, and competition, but we all need to remember that these are kids playing a game. The game that we all love, but simply a game. It is time like this that we all are humbled into understanding the only game that matters is the one we all play called life.
Viking Nation loves you Ethan, and you and your family are in our prayers!

That is just sad, tragic news. Prayers from Belmont Co.
A lot of class for Wellston's players and coaches to do what they did, too.
Tough news. To lose a Dad at such a young age.
