If you could choose a dirty dozen of rock n roll songs to explain it in a time capsule to be opened 1000 years from now, what would they be? Why? Go......

I like so many bands/songs that would be a hard decision, Dazed. Have to think on it for awhile, but I definitely would put a bunch of 70's, 80's and early 90's material in the RR time capsule. Probably some early Elvis Presley as well. One of his songs would be "Return to Sender"

Agree trenchfoot but I'd have to throw in either Sam and Dave...Chuck Barry... Marvin Gaye...one or two of these in the bunch.

John Lennon said another name for rock and roll is...Chuck Barry.
