Agreed. I do see PV at the top. But after that it gets questionable. Piketon will be bringing back a decent amount, with one of the best QBs in the area. But he is losing some weapons around him and they have yet to show they can play D consistently.

I can even see PV being a bit of a question mark. They lose their lines, so that leaves a big hole for them.

I can see ZT making a major improvement.

Agree it looks to be a pretty lean year in 2021. I also agree that PV lost some very nice lineman and the league’s back of the year so will be tough to replace them. Look for ZT to be vastly improved and Piketon will have the league’s best player! In my eyes you can probably put ZT, Piketon, Unioto and PV in top 4 and let them fight it out. Hopefully overall the league will start to see an upswing again soon.

Zt is the sleeper pick for me. They have a ton of talent in the upcoming junior & sophomore classes. They also return a dang good senior Qb.

PV and Piketon should be your 1-2 and I can see either one taking the league. Piketon I believe pretty much returns everyone and should have the top QB in the area.

The Sophomore to be for PV at RB will be a major force.

Good observation LCF, let me expand on that a little more. If Cooper is moved from QB to RB (very possible) that would give us 2 very athletic, tough runners. Combine that with a big physical blocking/running FB like Grubb and that makes for one of the best Offensive backfields I can ever recall at PV.

Never thought about Cooper getting moved but that would be interesting to see him, Grubb (Who is a beast) along with Chambers (Who I think will be a 1,000-yard rusher in his Jr and sr seasons in the backfield, with Estep at QB.

If that is the case I'd probably have to give the nod to PV then, until Piketon can prove the defense can stand up to the run that is. I've heard they're switching defenses so we'll see if that helps or not.

Will the defensive switch consist of tackling?

PV has to replace their line, but still will be a favorite

Were you asking a question or simply making an observation??

Stick to your baseball topics thanks, especially when your first post on the football scene is this. Troll elsewhere.

Sorry about that.
Paint Valley should win it. If Piketon finds some more wideouts they will be good. Zane Trace should be a little better.
Good luck in the fall.

baseballrocks, I agree that the SVC overall is quite weak in FB. But not worst small division conf. in state weak. I agree with your top 3 picks but add Unioto as a contender also. The skills players for PV are as good as I have seen in a long time, Dom Chambers is gonna make opposing coaches think Tramel Byrd is still around. If PV's young line can gel early they will score a lot of points this season.
