D2 District Semifinal 3/4: Unioto (15-5) at Logan Elm (16-1)
Two well-coached teams and a lot of talent on the floor next Thursday in southern Pickaway County. Thoughts?

Man I wish this game could be played at the convo. Sucks for the seniors and all the dads living through their sons

I’m really not sure what to expect in this one besides two teams being well prepared and playing their tails off in potentially the last game in a lot of these kids careers.

Unioto in the mild upset - but it will be tough at Logan Elm.

Don’t base your predictions on the last Athens score. LE is a complete different animal
Re: D2 District Semifinal 3/4: Unioto (15-5) at Logan Elm (16-1)
I’m putting this one on Hoops. I think Hoops has to have a great game plan, pregame and game....if he does Unioto will have a chance to win this game. If that sounds dumb...oh well. Now he can do all 3 of those things and still might lose by 15 but I think Coach Hoops needs to have his best game of the season.

The key for us is controlling the glass. We HAVE to attack the boards with anger like we did vs Athens. I watched ZT beat LE at their place last year and I feel we have similar talent to that ZT team. They did it by controlling the glass and having athletic size. We have that also but we have to control the glass. We need to limit their opportunities and give ourselves as many as possible on the offensive end. We do that for 4 qtrs and we will be right there.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 6:51 pm I’m putting this one on Hoops. I think Unioto needs to be as smart as LE for 4 quartersmlittle wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 8:21 pmThe key for us is controlling the glass. We HAVE to attack the boards with anger like we did vs Athens. Two of the better, well coached programs in that area. Hoops & Stiverson will have their teams ready to play. Logan Elm is never an easy place to win and because of the home court advantage gotta go with the Braves in a tight one. Really wish this was being held at the convo and open to the public. I would of made that trip for sure!

Everyone controls the glass against LE, doesn't seem to really matter...lolIronman92 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 9:14 pmI think Unioto needs to be as smart as LE for 4 quartersmlittle wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 8:21 pmThe key for us is controlling the glass. Haven't seen Unioto play do they have any like opponents that LE has played as well?

Miami Trace and Westfall, but I wouldn't draw much for that.BUCKEYES wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 12:39 pmEveryone controls the glass against LE, doesn't seem to really matter...lolIronman92 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 9:14 pmI think Unioto needs to be as smart as LE for 4 quartersmlittle wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 8:21 pm

Logan Elm outrebounded MT by around 4-5, but it was 20-8 through the first three quarters. The game was out of hand going into the fourth and there was some substituting. I wasn't too impressed with MT, but I know Unioto will present different challenges. Looking forward to a good game.
Re: D2 District Semifinal 3/4: Unioto (15-5) at Logan Elm (16-1)
Unioto’s guards match up well with LE’s and Galloway could be a hard matchup for LE down low. Should be a great game
