Wellston with the win over Athens last week while Meigs lost a close one to Logan, Thoughts on this one? A Wellston win and VC win over the Buckeyes would make for a big week 10 matchup between the two. BMG Media will be streaming this game as well.

Wellston and Meigs usually have games that come down to wire.
I think this will be a good one. Rockets should take it if they limit turnovers. It could set up a showdown in week 10.

Seems like Wellston has more viable varsity level players. This feels like a Wellston win….maybe by a decent margin.

Both teams played their hearts out. As usual there was another controversial call on an onside kick. Meigs scored on a long run and converted the two point conversion making 35/28 with 1:35 to go. Meigs kicked the onside kick and the Meigs player touched before it travelled ten yards and recovered it. Official missed the call. The benefit of BMG replay made this a lot easier to play. Rockets held on for the win. It is amazing the games in this series often come down to the last minute.

Watch the official film. I thought that the ball was touched before it went ten too but it did not and shows that on hudl. The refs took that one from the Marauders on the Illegal block call. On film, it is clear that the LT led with his hands and not his head/shoulder. Zebra turned around and seen a kid flying and threw the flag.

Who said I was a Meigs fan? The tackle led with his hands and just pancaked a kid. Ref turns around and takes the game into his own hands by throwing the flag and hands the game to Wellston.
