How many people will ignore buying tickets online?

Post by surfsider »

I'm guessing a lot of people will try to slip the person at the gate a sawbuck (that's $10) to get in the game
Has to be an AD's nightmare because I call gate crashing' this weekend.

Not the mention you have to download an app to your phone and as of right now my game Minford vs. Amanda Clearcreek is not even listed!!
So stupid, also went to watch Minford play at East Clinton and they wasn't even taking cash payment at the gate. Had to use a debit card or a credit card to enter. So stupid

I think it is stupid.
I am going to be interested to see how it affects attendance.

One issue I can see is this. What about the schools located in rural areas that have no cell service? A good example is Symmes Valley. Not a knock against them, but if you can’t access the tickets, how are you supposed to get in?

The world of digital commerce is advancing and headed to a cashless society. Old guys like me have to adapt if we want to participate in society. I hate it but there is no going back.

I now will turn up my hearing aid and shout "OK BOOMER" at myself as I leave the room.

When you buy tickets online the state is screwing the school district from their gate money

The OHSAA has always been all about the money and nothing else.

Yeah not sure how Symmes Valley will handle this. I’m sure there will be a lot of folks without smartphones or printers.

They send you a bar code when you purchase your tickets. You can save that to your phone to be scanned at the gate. You can use their app as well.

What is the price for the 1st round games?
Does this include a service charge for ordering online?

So does the OHSAA gets all the money from ticket sales? To me it feels like the host school gets the skrew job.

A few of us were talking about going to waverly Friday. That seems to be a interesting matchup

I believe so and I think I read awhile back schools will not be reimbursed travel and meals.

I’m not entirely certain if it is all schools or just Burg but the post from Wheelersburg High School says there are no ticket sales at the gate…it’s $10 until Saturday at 4pm I think and then $12 after that but all online sales…and yes there is a “processing fee”…I bought 5 tickets and there was $1.80 fee
