If Evan Turner comes back next year........
...where would Ohio State be in the preseason polls? Would they be the odds-on-favorite to win the NCAA?

With the recruiting class coming in and if Buford comes back too i cant think of another team that would be ranked higher
Re: If Evan Turner comes back next year........
It all depends where they finsh in the NCAAs this year. A poor showing wil not help even if Turner returns

I'd have to agree with noreply.. It all depends on how they finish out this season, who stays, and the freshman class they get.

Re: If Evan Turner comes back next year........
they would be top 5 and a favorite to win it all, i seen evan turner on first take about acouple weeks ago and it sounded like he is coming back next year and he seems like the type of player that would come back, the money will always be there for him in the nba but the only risk is injury
Re: If Evan Turner comes back next year........
Number 1 because you know if turner stays then so does Diebler, Lighty, possibly buford (i see another dequan cook in this situation), and Lauderdale....and then you add Sullinger(#3 on Rivals 150), Thomas(#18 on Rivals 150), Sibert(#37 on Rivals 150), Craft(#104 on Rivals 150), Smith(124 on Rivals 150), and Witherspoon(#137 on Rivals 150) to the mix you have a Top 5 team for not only next year but for many years to come.

Word is, if he does come back, along with Buford, that Diebler would actually take a seat and be the sixth man.
Next years freshmen class is that good.

Ohio State would be ranked either 1 or 2 depending on weather or not Wall and company return and they most likely make a run a the title with Sullinger coming in to assist Turner, Deibler, Buford, and company. Watch out for the Buckeyes if they Turner stays.

That freshman class will be good but there's no way deibler is a sixth man!!!!!

It hinges on if Turner stays, if he leaves, then no Diebler definatly starts.
If he stays though, OSU will have a true point guard next year, and Turner would play Diebler's position.
If the option is Diebler at the 3, or Turner, it's Turner all day long.

Re: If Evan Turner comes back next year........
You can't put a guy who can give you 20 pts on bench as your sixth man.....
Deibler is proven and his defense has greatly improved..The frosh. coming in has proven nothing yet...
With or without Turner Deibler will start. Mark it down just like a 3
By the way Turner can play any position except for center!!!!!!!!!!!
He can play the point or off guard in the nba...
He is a great point guard this year.

Re: If Evan Turner comes back next year........
Why not put a guy who can give you 20 points on the bench,
they will be going to the bench a lot more next year.
And having an instant offense guy coming off the bench and giving production
is a great asset.
Diebler is good, but he's not great. He has not lived up to expectations, and he has a lot of work to do if
he wants to get any PT at the next level.
And, as for a guy who can give you 20 points.
Diebler only gets 12.8 points per game, this along with 1 assist and 3 rebounds, and he could stand to work hard on his D.
In 31 games this season, he has only scored 20+ 5 times. Two of those were against Alcorn State and Eastern Michigan!
I like Diebler, this isn't a referendum against him. BUT, he would be a killer 6th man on a deep Buckeyes team.

If Turner comes back and there is one starter who losses their spot it will be Lauderdale.
