Gallia won last year 42-7... This year is basically the same teams with gallia being a little healthier... Gallia has beaten teams with a combined record of 1-7 while the peaks comes in at 3-6.. gallia is favored and may be a running clock in the second half....

Gallia Academy is 6-1 all time vs Chesapeake with Peake’s lone win coming in 2016. Peake faces GA, Ironton, and the. Coal Grove is consecutive weeks. GA looks really good as of right now and 8-2 or 9-1 is a definite possibility. Chesapeake has been a pleasant surprise for the area.

Gallia Academy is averaging 37 points per game while giving up an average of 4 points per game.

Chesapeake is averaging 36 points per game and giving up an average of 13.67 points per game.

I think this will be a good measure of where each team’s growth is @ in the point where it should be coming together fir each.

I realize Gallia dominated last year & both teams have played fairly weak opponents witb Gallia only having one opponent with a win.

I look for it to be competitive until late 2nd qrtr & Gallia will move to 4-0.

Chesapeake has been a surprise for sure. I can see them 5-5, 6-4. Which by all means is a drastic improvement. Happy for them, but I think Gallia is too much here. Running on the high of being 3-0, the panthers keep it close for awhile but then depth and talent show thru and Gallia pulls away, 35-14

Does Gallia stick with the passing game that we've seen or do they run right at Chesapeake and make them stop it? I have to think they'll be pass first the rest of the way, about 65/35. QB looks really good and he's got weapons galore. Probably the most athletic Gallia team I've seen since 2005 or 2006.

Agree with all of the above. Misdirection on offense and motion has helped GA as well. They do a really good job at reading the DT’s on their 3 and 4 technique. I think that if Gallia shares the wealth, keeps Peake off balance and controls the LOS, Gallia can win this game going away. Force turnovers and maintain an uptempo pace.

I think this will be a good test for Chesapeake as a program a 3-0 start is huge but this game will tell a lot about what they can do in the OVC. Obviously outside of Ironton Gallia has to be on the most athletic teams in the conference how does Peake match up against that Gallia speed. Big game for both teams getting out to 4-0 is definitely nice for the winner
