Teams for the girls Chesapeake, Glenwood, Ironton, South Gallia, South Point and Wheelersburg

After the first four events Wheelersburg was out in front by four over South Point followed by Chesapeake, Ironton, South Gallia and Glenwood. Winning events where Ironton in the 4x800, South Point in the 100 meters and the 4x200 and Wheelersburg in the 100 hurdles. With half the meet in the books Wheelersburg has increased its lead to forty-six over second place South Point and then comes Ironton and South Point in third followed by Chesapeake and Glenwood. The 4x100 and discus went to Wheelersburg, Ironton won the 1600 with South Point taking the 400. With five events to go it is Wheelersburg up by one hundred and twenty-eight over South Point. Winners in the last four events were Wheelersburg in the high jump long jump and the 300 hurdles and Ironton took the 800. In the last five events Wheelersburg won the 300 hurdles, shot put and the 4x400 while South Point won the 200 and the pole vault. Wheelersburg finish with 234.5 points South Point 145, Ironton 65.5, Chesapeake at 62 South Gallia at 53.5 and Glenwood at 7.5. Burg placed in all but one event and that was the pole vault which they do not have in the SOC. South Point placed in thirteen events, Ironton twelve, South Gallia eleven, Chesapeake nine and Glenwood placed in two events. Wonder what this score would have been if there were only two to an event?

Teams for the Boys-Glenwood, Ironton, Minford, South Gallia, South Point and Wheelersburg

With four events in the books, it was South Point with a nine-point lead over Wheelersburg with Minford, South Gallia, Ironton then Glenwood. Winning events in the first four events were Wheelersburg in the 4x800, South Point in the 110 hurdles and the 4x200 and Minford won the 100 meters. With eight events scored it was Wheelersburg up seven on South Point followed with Minford, South Gallia, Ironton and Glenwood. Winners in the last four events went to South Gallia the 1600 South Point in the 4x100 and Minford in the 400( no shot put) After four more events it was Wheelersburg up thirty points on South Point then came Minford and South Gallia tied for third Ironton and Glenwood. Ironton won the high jump Wheelersburg won the 300 hurdles and the 800 and South Point took the long jump. In the last five events Wheelersburg scored 41.5 point to win the meet. South Point scored fifty points but finished 21.5 points back of Wheelersburg. After that it was Minford 96 Ironton 76 South Gallia 65.5 then came Glenwood at 9. In the last five events Wheelersburg won the 3200 and the 4x400 Minford took the 200 South Point won the Shot put and the pole vault. Only sixteen events were score and Burg scored in 15 South Point 14 Minford 14 Ironton 11 South Gallia 10 and Glenwood 3.
