First True Week of College Football is in the Books.. Heres my thoughts!
1. Things in Tallahassee are NOT PRETTY right now.... The Seminoles are 0-2 after Losses to Geoegia tech and Boston College. And my guess is Norvells seat is on Nuclear Meltdown mode.
2. The Usual suspects rolled! Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss and Tennessee to name a few.
3. My 3 Under the Radar Teams! Louisville, Kansas and Georgia Tech.
4. ACC really took it on the chin... Florida State Losing first 2 Games.. Clemson getting Destroyed. Virginia Tech getting shocked by Vanderbilt... Theres a lot of chaos in the ACC early... and I guarantee you that more will follow.
5. B1G... Oregon and Michigan did NOT Impress... Both had trouble with their opponents and their Offenses just didn't seem to click... Michigan better get their act together with Texas Rolling in on Week 2... or it will NOT be Pretty.
Add any thoughts!

Colorado is overrated again as usual. I know North Dakota State is a stout FCS team year in and year out, but for most of the game they were having their way with them. Colorado goes 6-6 imo

I am still wondering if Georgia crushed Clemson because the Bulldogs are that good or if the Tigers are that bad.
Southern Cal may have been overlooked in Big Ten preseason predictions.
Notre Dame looked good playing in one of college football's toughest environments.
It seemed there were more tv timeouts than before and I found Nick Saban to be entertaining as an analyst.

They say nothing is impossible, yet I accomplish nothing every day.

My problem with Clemson is.. they are not utilizing the benefits of the Transfer Portal.
Southern Cal is definitely going to be a force in the B1G. Glad to see them join the conference.
Notre Dame has the EASIEST path to the College Football Playoff. Last week of their Schedule will be the True Test (USC)
Saban is a refreshing addition to Game Day.
I like your Observations!

I agree... Colorado has too much Hype and can't live up to it. 6-6 sounds about right for them.TomcatFootball11 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 11:47 pm Colorado is overrated again as usual. I was at the Michigan game and you are right. They looked like A$$ on offense. I don't see them winning against Texas, Penn st., Ohio St, USC or Oregon. The lack of, or the predictability of the offense was atrocious.5. B1G... Oregon and Michigan did NOT Impress... Both had trouble with their opponents and their Offenses just didn't seem to click... Re: Valenth's Thoughts from Week 1
Good breakdown Valenth.
Lets start with scUM- Lost McCarthy, who was their best QB in the last 15 years. Lost McNamara to Iowa. QB play is not good. They have no identity on offense. Defensively they have 4 solid player and a lot of new faces without the benefit of time for them to develop as Texas is going to roll into Ann Arbor and ROLL scUM this weekend.
Throw on top of that the waiting NCAA pentalties that COULD result in vacated wins and a vacated NC, and things could go unravelling quickly for ttun.I see this putting their recruiting in major jeopardy the next few years, which will snowball their program to the Rich Rod years.
USC looks stout. Watching them it seems that they are very balanced and have a solid overall team in all phases. As does Penn State. PSU, for years, lacked a room full of very good WRs. It seems like they have them. This could be the year that James Franklin steals a couple wins from the teams that he has failed to beat in his tenure.
Oregon looked lost. They started with first game jitters that never left the entire game.
Georgia and Clemson are toss ups. Not sure if Georgia is that good or Clemson is following suit to their season last year. But one thing is sure, Dabo and Co are not the monster they were several years ago.
ACC SUCKS and I think Norvell doesnt make it through the first half of the season.
OSU has talent all over the field. Will Howard is more than capable of leading this team, getting the ball to the playmakers and taking care of the ball. Plus he can run. The defense is very stout. I have been critical on Treyvon Henderson in the past, but man oh man does he look like a different player this year at full health.
Its gonna be a fun season and I cant wait for the crisp cool air this Saturday morning and more college football to watch. I think a big pot of chili is on the menu!
