Going to take the dragons by 3-4 scores.

Hopefully the panthers can make it an interesting game to watch.

Hopefully Wall is back and I noticed Kitts tweaked an ankle against CG and was in street clothes the second half, hope it isn’t anything serious.

These Dragon seniors are not just playing for securing the OVC outright, but the pride of beating Chesapeake all 4 years.

Fairland by a few scores to BTP!!!

Peake’s lackluster coaching staff will shine through again. You will see bad attitudes by players, missed routine tackles, lack of pass coverage and overall just being super under prepared. Not sure how a HS football team can prepare to win, when they haven’t worn full pads in practice since week 1. Yes you heard me correct, Chesapeake only wears helmets and shoulder pads in practice. That is exactly why assignments and tackles are missed. You can’t go full contact or full effort when you are half dressed. This makes you extremely under prepared. Would love to see Peake pull off the upset but it just won’t happen this Friday.

Hairline fracture in his leg I believe. Didn’t play against Ironton or Coal Grove. Should be back by this week or next.

Hopefully it’s still beating after the game. No way Peake scores 36 on Fairland and wins lol

What's your head tell ya ;) ? Fairland by 28, Peake's defense simply isn't very good.

Wow that’s a pretty interesting scoop. Is it an issue with trying to keep players healthy because they don’t have a ton of depth or what is the reasoning for the use of shells in practice all week?
Especially this day and age with player safety and recovery being key teams can still work heavy on the fundamentals and assignments practicing in shells if coached correctly. I can’t knock a program for heavy use of shells if they are still developing the kids focusing on fundamentals and teaching their assignments teams can get better in shells.

For Peake coming into this game they have shown the last couple of weeks that they can score. Harris is a capable passer and Plantz being over 1000 on the ground is a nice starting point they have to be able to sustain drives and keep the Fairland defense honest. Can they do that for 4 quarters will be the question.

For Fairland I thought Hayden was the best player on the field Friday night against Coal Grove. By playing Jack at QB you are able to give the dude at least double the touches or triple some nights he is your best player with the ball in his hands. Even if Wall is healthy it would be tough to not want to use Jack at QB for this game. Fairland has so much team speed and CG last week couldn’t slow them down. I don’t know if Chesapeake can match their speed either.
I really hope to see Fairland use Murray in the backfield Friday night the dude put up almost 100 yards Friday on just 5 carries I know he popped a long one but his burst looked good and having him running the ball could be big moving into the playoffs

Area51, you are so misinformed or, maybe just ignorant in the game of football, I will take the ladder.
1. Bad attitudes of players? Maybe emotionally charged young men that are working through more than what’s on the field. I wonder did you see the leaders, the seniors addressing this, on a very few kids. They stepped up. Coaches intervene and I assure you would refuse to see that, especially since you don’t attend many games .. you just hear nonsense.
2.you question being prepared? They are prepared and they recognize thier limits and work thier tails off to do what they can.
3. You question full pass? Are you aware this is super common among many High School programs across the states, especially with lower numbers. Saving these kiddos to allow them to play. Even common in College and Pro ball. You are griping about knee pads. They go hard and it shows. You negate the work these kids put in every day . So pathetic.
We have a 1000 yard rusher, others kids putting up great numbers in yards. A QB that is close to a thousand yards passing. You have a team averaging 300-400, or more, yards a game and you complain about knee pads?? Your posts are completely targeted and I would assume it’s because of your own personal issues against a coach 🤭. Finding out who you are wasn’t hard .. it’s just sad Area51. Kids on that field are more of a man than you.

Shells are widely used throughout all programs in Ohio. You don’t have to wear pants to practice and go full tilt and hit just not going to the ground. Especially when a team only has 20-30 kids, no depth and players playing both ways every snap. Just my opinion

You can got go live in just shells. Peake’s tackling fundamental's have been atrocious all year. By not practicing the skill correctly in live situations or preparing your body for live situations then would there not be a higher risk of just getting hurt during the game? Conditioning your body is very important.

A couple of cool facts about the rivalry:

This is the 75th meeting between the Dragons and the Panthers, FHS leads the series 38-36-1.

There are folks that attended Fairland and coached at Chesapeake and vice versa.

And many of us now raise our children in the other community. Who amoung us would've thought 25 years ago that our children would attend our rivals school.
